Fall Camping: Extending the Camping Season
Published on: Oct 9, 2022

Fall is a great time to go camping. The weather is usually mild, and the colors of the leaves are simply beautiful. To get started, find out which campgrounds are still open. Many parks and campgrounds close early in the season. Once you’ve found a suitable campground, take the time to research the area. Learn about the local flora and fauna. It will help you better appreciate the fall colors when you see them. Finally, be sure to pack all the necessary gear, as fall nights can be chilly, even if the days are warm, so be sure to be prepared. With a little planning, you can extend your fall camping season and enjoy the beauty of nature well into November.
Best campground open in fall
The leaves are changing color and the air is crisp, making it a great time to go hiking or sit around a campfire. Here are our three favorite places to go camping in the fall:1. Parc national du Mont-Tremblant
Camping at Mont Tremblant National Park in the fall is an experience not to be missed! The hiking trails offer great views and there is a via ferrata, a route that climbs up the side of the mountain with cables to help you cross beams or bridges. The park also has many lakes, ideal for canoeing and kayaking. If you’re into biking, there are 124 km of bike trails to ride in the Mont-Tremblant National Park to see the colors. Finally, the Old Village of Mont-Tremblant offers many gourmet destinations! Explore this campsite2. Parc national des Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie
